Reproductive health care has been under attack since the Roe decision that granted people the right to choose. With a growing climate of anti-reproductive legislation in several states and the potential for a more conservative Supreme Court bench, reproductive freedom is under threat more so than ever.
As part of the Women’s Equality Coalition’s Week of Action, we’re screening “Birth Right: A War Story”. This film is an examination of an aggressive campaign to take control of reproductive health care and to allow states, courts and religious doctrine to govern whether, when and how women will bear children. Filmmaker Civia Tamarkin explores the fallout that is creating a public health crisis, turning pregnant women into criminals.
This event is FREE and light refreshments will be provided!
