Women’s History Month is upon us!
We are taking an opportunity to look back on and learn from some of the problematic history that took place during the first wave of feminism. In our webinar, we will look back at the different waves of feminism, specifically the first wave, and analyze some of the troubled past from the Suffragette movement with a focus on its history of white supremacy and eugenics.
Our goal is to take a realistic look at first wave feminism and shed light on the harm inflicted on Black communities and low-income people. The webinar will also discuss how we, as a community who supports and values equity and bodily autonomy, can learn from the Suffragette’s mistakes and create a better future for everyone when it comes to their ability to access reproductive healthcare.
This Webinar is FREE and will be open to all!
