Join us for our monthly “Pro-Choice Positive Presence” in support of the patients, doctors and staff at Falls Church Healthcare Center. We’ll stand outside the clinic, where the FCHC staff and escorts can see us, and be a supportive, positive presence to counter the negativity of anti-choice protesters. We will *not* be counter-protesting or engaging with anti-choicers, but rather focusing on uplifting the people accessing and delivering reproductive healthcare services.

This is an evening you won’t want to miss!

Death by Delivery Documentary Screening and Discussion
Saturday, May 12, 2018/5:00 pm - 8:00 pmUU Fredericksburg

Join NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia for a viewing of the documentary, “Death by Delivery” Shortly following the screening, we will have a discussion after the film how to combat racial disparities in maternity health.

Expectant mothers in the United States have plenty to worry about, from concerns about medical costs and childcare expenses to wondering what, if any, parental leave they’ll get. What millions of American mothers-to-be may not know, however, is that one of the big worries is actually about their own health. Death By Delivery demonstrates why maternal mortality should be a real and pressing concern for thousands of women per year. Even more alarming, Black women face the biggest risks of all.

Dear Diary: Storytelling in Alexandria
Thursday, May 17, 2018/6:00 pm - 8:30 pmNPCV Office

We all have stories: of relationships, of our first periods, of our embarrassing adolescent years, of romance, of birth control, of abortion access. Join us for a night of wine, snacks, and storytelling to share the experiences that make us who we are and inspire us to fight for health, rights, and justice.

Bring a story from your old journal or diary to read, recall a memory, or just sit back, listen, and support, followed by a discussion of the importance and power stories hold in our shared movement.
